Dear POLARCAT all,
We will have a POLARCAT meeting at the University of New Hampshire from
2-5 June 2009. The purpose of the meeting will be to bring together the
various POLARCAT projects, to exchange information and to identify what
the various POLARCAT projects (and POLARCAT, in general) has
accomplished. We will also look into the future, e.g., towards POLARCAT
sessions at AGU next year and the EGU in 2010, as well as at the next
IGAC conference. We might also discuss publication plans, including a
POLARCAT overview paper.
But, most importantly, we will hopefully have fruitful exchange of
information at a time when probably many papers will be written. We
expect broad participation from Europe and North America and some
participation also from Russia and Asia.
We will soon send more information, including a draft agenda and a link
to a registration webpage. There might be a small registration fee but
most likely we will be able to cover the meeting costs through sponsors.
We will also likely have some support for travel costs from IGAC, and
those in need will be able to request travel support.
We plan for about 100 persons attending, and will have to see how big
the demand will be.
For now, please note the dates, 2-5 June 2009, in your calendar.
Regards,
Andreas
