Weather: Today’s winds, snow, and whiteout seem likely to continue through tomorrow and on through Tuesday morning. Wind and clouds are expected to continue throughout the week, although by Tuesday afternoon the overcast may ease into partly cloudy conditions for some parts of the following days.
Chemical: Surges in NO2 (~40mg/m2) expected today and Thursday (14 April). By the 14th it looks like there may be a tendril of SO4-laden air mass (~40mg/m2) reaching toward Svalbard from the UK and France, but it isn’t clear if it will arrive intact. It looks like the 14th (thursday) may also herald the next surge in CO, with a large proportion from biomass burning sources.
